In 2018 our training programme focused on CQC's 5 Pillars:

Are we SAFEAre we CARING, Are we RESPONSIVE to people's needs, Are we EFFECTIVE, Are we WELL-LED

The people who live in our care home are not always able to fulfil their basic emotional needs independently; this challenge is further compounded for those living with a Dementia. Dementia can and does impact individuals in profound ways, often stripping away essential aspects of their identity.

Imagine losing what makes you unique, the essence of who you are. Our family members should not be reduced to mere numbers in a system or tasks to be completed. They deserve to be recognised for the individuals they are.

In acknowledging this, our training programme is not just about imparting skills; it's about instilling a deep understanding of the emotional needs of those in our care. By fostering a culture of compassion and empathy, we aim to create an environment where people in our care are seen, valued, and loved, even in the face of the challenges posed by Dementia.
